The summer season was once again tough for street cats in Bulgaria. The non-profit organisation Pfotenengel e.V. supports the Bulgarian animal welfare workers in the city of Stara Zagora in their efforts to combat the suffering of the cats. The heat was hard to bear for many of us, but for the small and weak among the velvet paws it was truly life-threatening. Unfortunately, it is not an isolated case that kittens die together with their mothers because they are too weak to care for them? That really is a terrible idea. 😔

The staff of the local animal shelter were constantly on the road to save as many cats as possible from dying on the streets. But in order to care for all the animals, the non-profit organisation had to draw on its last reserves. That's why your help came at just the right time. When we put out a call for help and described the situation on the ground to you, you wanted to help. You filled numerous bowls and made this food delivery possible. Each bowl helped the shelter staff to continue feeding the velvet paws weakened by the heat. We thank you very much for your commitment. ❤️🥰
