In the Bavarian district of Rosenheim, a handful of animal welfare workers take care of 50 feeding sites, each with 6-40 cats, which are often far apart. This task has never been easy, but now it threatens to become impossible. Although the team has neutered its charges, there are only a few districts in Bavaria with a cat protection ordinance. Rosenheim is unfortunately not one of them. The current stream of abandoned, unneutered cats poses a huge problem for the animal welfare workers. Many of the abandoned animals are sick and need medical help. Although this help is offered at more than 10 foster homes, food is more than scarce. An enormous amount of food is needed to feed all the cats. However, the price of food has risen so much that it is hardly possible for the volunteer animal welfare workers to take over the complete food supply. 😟
Fortunately, the animal welfare activists are not alone in this difficult situation, because there are people like you from the feed a cat community! You have actively donated food and thus made a large food delivery possible for the helpless strays of Upper Bavaria. Thanks to your help, the animal protectors can at least breathe a sigh of relief for a short moment! Thank you very much for every filled bowl! 😻🫶
