Now the time has finally come! The first delivery for feed a cat arrived last week at the kittens.
A whole 6 pallets could be delivered to the cat protection association in Halle! Of course, we did not miss the opportunity to be there on site. And not only we: Numerous press representatives were there to document this beautiful moment.
We would like to tell you about this great day:
Full of anticipation, Mario and Felix from feed a cat took the earliest train from Frankfurt to Halle/Saale. When we arrived at the cat protection association, a car from the local TV station was already parked in front of the door. Were they here for the feed a cat delivery?
With a slight tingle in our stomachs we entered the cat protection association and were surprised. There were 2 pallets of food in the entrance hall. We knew that if this was the complete delivery, food was missing! Hungry kittens, the press in front of the door and the delivery not complete - that gave us a sinking feeling.
When we asked for our contact person - Annett Meier (2nd chairwoman) - we were told that she was just taking the other 4 pallets to an external warehouse. When we heard this, a big stone fell from our hearts! The short worry gave way to relief. So the feed and litter arrived and we learned that the press was actually on site for the large feed a cat delivery.
A great day thus took its course:
Mrs. Meier greeted us directly after her return from the warehouse with the words:
"That's a lot more food than we expected - great class!" and added how important it is to her to send a big thank you to all donors of the feed a cat app. ❤️
The warm welcome was followed by a tour through the rooms of the cat protection association - accompanied by the representatives of the press. As with all visits to animal protection societies, this is of course always the highlight: the interaction with the four-legged friends. It was so nice to see how comfortable the kittens feel in the cat shelter in Halle. Some were curious and cuddly, others dozed at their regular place.
Mrs. Meier described the suffering of the individual animals and explained what the cat protection association does to rescue, rehome and place the kittens. It became clear to us: this is great work that is being done here in Halle!
Now also the chairwoman of the cat protection association arrived. Like the whole team, Mrs. Kaiser works voluntarily for the association and came directly from her job to the shelter. A commitment, which is natural for Mrs. Kaiser. But for us outsiders this commitment is remarkable - the representatives of the press also noticed this. And so, of course, this was also a topic in the following interviews and recordings. We have put the interview from "Halle TV" here for you:

The atmosphere in the cat house was great - and the excitement among the staff, but also the kittens, was of course great. Therefore, it was certainly a nice moment for the cats when the positive hustle and bustle died down and we were at the end of our tour, conversations and interviews.
However, there was still one thing that was on the agenda: We definitely wanted to see the other pallets briefly as well - at least to make sure that everything had really arrived. So two employees proudly drove us to the warehouse where the other pallets were. Everything was complete, well packed and ready for consumption. With this good feeling our day in Halle was over and we sat down very happily in the train back to Frankfurt.
We will not forget this food delivery so quickly.
